After completing your Handgun Permit Application, these professional safety courses are the next mandatory step for successfully obtaining your permit. Here are the top 4 things you need to know about attending our Tennessee Carry Permit Classes:

1. Course Dates, Times and Location

The Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit Classes are held at the Sevier Indoor Shooting Range, which is just minutes outside the city limits of Sevierville. The street address for our range is 1874 Country Meadows Drive, Sevierville, TN 37862. All courses takes place on the 2nd and 3rd Saturdays of each month, and each class is a full day session lasting from 9am to 5pm.

Anyone interested in attending our Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit Classes must register in advance by contacting us at the Sevier Indoor Shooting Range. The registration cost for the course is $65 per person, and the confirmation number from your Tennessee Permit application is needed for the class. Note that all new applicants for a permit must be a resident of Tennessee, be at least 21 years of age and be able to submit proof of U.S. Citizenship or Lawful Permanent Residency. Our Handgun Safety Course is the last major component of your permit application!

3. Classes Are Taught by Certified Instructors

Our Tennessee Carry Permit courses are taught by one of our certified National Rifle Association and Tennessee State Handgun Safety Program Instructors.These professional instructors will teach you everything you need to know about handgun safety including the responsibility of owning a firearm and proper shooting techniques. Our instructors will also be happy to answer any of your questions or address any concerns that you may have about the class.

When attending the course, be sure to bring a valid Tennessee driver’s license, as well as a notebook and pen for taking notes. All attendees must also bring an unloaded handgun or revolver to the course. The other requirement is that you must have an unopened box of 50 rounds of ammunition for the firearm in which you wish to qualify. If you do not have a firearm or ammunition of your own, you may rent a gun from the range and purchase the ammunition in our shop.

The Sevierville Indoor Shooting Range is a locally owned business that offers eleven 25 yard lanes just outside the city limits of Sevierville, TN. Each lane is lighted and equipped with a lane table and a target retrieval system. The range caters primarily to shooters with pistols but can also accommodate those with shotguns, .22-cal rimfire rifles and pistol caliber carbines. For those shooters who do not have their own gun, the range has a wide variety of firearms for rent and for sale.
